Locomotives derailed by bottom side
The Locmotives led 1-0 at half-time, but conceded three times after the interval on their way to a 3-2 reverse at Station View.
“It was quite an open game in the first half, both teams created and missed some good chances and although we went in a goal up, we probably didn’t deserve to be,” player-boss Paul Beesley reflected.

“Five minutes later and we’re kicking off at 2-1 down after conceding twice in quick succession and ultimately that’s cost us on the day.
“We got back in the game at 2-2 but then conceded again and although we battered them in the last 15 minutes it just wasn’t to be.
“It was one of those days. We didn’t play brilliantly, but I can’t fault the players’ effort. We just need to be more consistent in general.”

Hide AdDavid Brown’s fifth strike of the season gave Railway a 24th-minute lead, the diminutive striker beating the offside trap and lifting the ball over Rich Watson in the Barton goal.
Efforts from Jon Hadley and Edward Rogerson in the 49th and 51st minutes then turned the game on its head, but Beesley restored parity when he tapped in from close range just after the hour-mark.
Parity was to last just six minutes however as Tom Waudby rose highest to glance home a 71st-minute header from a corner.
Visiting stopper Watson was then to take centre stage, making a number of fine saves in the closing stages to thwart the Locomotives as they pushed hard for a third goal that never arrived.
Beesley’s side remain 17th in the league standings following the result.
