MORE than 5,000 visitors are expected at tomorrow'sRipley Agricultural Show, which boasts motorbike stunts from Jez Avery, dog scurrying and ferret racing.
The wide range of displays and attractions also includes flower arranging, heavy and light horses, sheep and cattle, vintage tractors and plenty of entertainment for children. The Summerbridge and Dacre Silver Prize Band will be on hand to provide music.

Marjorie Periam, Hon Secretary of the show, said on Wednesday: “Preparations are going very well.

“We could do without the heavy rain in the afternoon, and the road closures haven’t helped, but we’re on track and looking forward to the show.”

Judging classes start at 8:30am, with the show proper getting underway at around 11am and ending at 5pm.

Construction firm HACS has added an extra three metres to the show entrance at Ripley Castle Park meaning that a two way stream of traffic is possible there for the first time.
